A Random Thought.....

Of No Particular Value.....

Fools, All.....
[info]rec040341

Fools, all of them, Durbin, Dodd and Frank of course. They write and pass a bill that puts handcuffs on the banks and the banks re-adjust their fees to just recover part of the lost income and the public yells, durbin immediately screams, “…its their fault…”. durbin and the two clowns, dodd and frank will accept no responsibility for these charges. The banks will actually net less from these charges than they did prior to this stupid law passing.

If you want to get mad about the lousy $5.00 a month fee, don’t get mad at Bank of America….get mad at dufus durbin, dodd and frank.

Yes, I am a Bank of America customer….and whether I am or not doesn’t change the fact that no matter where you bank, your bank will have to recover the lost income some way or another.  Just another mistake that will have to be cleans up after these idiots are relieved of their position.

Wasted Advise...........

A wasted piece of advise for the clown in the whitehouse from ole Will Rogers...

"If you're riding' ahead of the herd, take a look back every now and then to make sure it's still there."

He has ridden off into the far leftist  mist so far that even the folks that agree with him, can't keep up or they will be dumped in 2012.

He won't listen as his ego is such that  he cannot change course, he could not be wrong.  What a pity, he could have done so much.

You Would Think....

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled,
public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be
tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should
be curtailed lest Rome becomes bankrupt. People must again learn to
work, instead of living on public assistance."

- Cicero - 55 BC

You would think, as my friend implied when sent this quote to me, ....that we would have learned something in 2066 years...apparently we haven't.

...next time you see a chevy volt...
[info]rec040341

  The next time you see a chevy volt owner, just see if he/she sez, "Thank You"....bet they won't, but they should.

  According to Wikipedia, the most recent median income in the US was $44,359, give or take a dollar or two.  Assuming they are right then,

   $ 44,359    Median Income

   $  -1,500    Dependent Exemption (2 person household)

  $   -4,286    Approx Standard Deduction

  $ 38,570     Adjusted Gross Income

   x     .145     Estimated Average Tax Rate

   $   5,593    Approximated tax for the median income family.

  So, this hardworking family did not pay enough to cover the $7,500 subsidy the proud Volt owner got for buying the damn thing.

  Ok, you say, that median income family didn't really pay much in federal income taxes....I bet you are right, so that just proves that it took more hardworking families to pay for this subsidy.  And, And, I bet the average Volt buyer makes well above median income.

  This mouth in the whitehouse is always saying he wants to make things 'Fair'...now you tell me how subsidizing the purchase is fair?  The only people who benefit from this deal, other than the selfish Volt owner, are the union thugs at UAW Motors and the damocrats that picked up anther vote from the Volt buyer.

Your Can Bet Your A...........
[info]rec040341

You can bet your assets that shortly we are going to begin seeing gestures and small concessions from the likes of ahmadinejad and other monsters like him.  The idea being to make the current administration look good.

  Any change in the current junta in Washington DC, would be to the detriment of these American/Israeli hating governments and it is much to their benefit if they can help put the current empty suit back into office for another four years.

  Having jimmy carter’s endorsement is bad enough to turn off most voters, having the out and out endorsement of ahmadinejad would be a little worse, so they will have to be sly about it and just do something like turn the two hikers loose and not start a war before oblater mouth is re-elected.

Ole Burt Sums Things Up......
[info]rec040341

Here is a quote from Burt Prelutsky,

""The fact that a mere seven years after being attacked by Muslims, we elected a guy who spent his early years in Islamic schools in Indonesia; his most formative years being raised in Hawaii by white socialists and tutored by a black communist; and his adulthood, attending a black racist church in Chicago, while hanging around with unrepentant radical terrorists, strongly suggests that America should have had its head examined."

Burt is a opinion columnist and is published in several outlets.  You know he is good because he was 'slamed' in the huffington post over an article he did about obama's wife.

Solyndra Questions ? ? ?
[info]rec040341

  This fellow, obama, seems to have exported chicago style business to California with this Solyndra boon doggle

  There are a lot of questions that hopefully will be answered, if they aren't covered up, now that one of the administration's agencies is investigating.  My fear is that the justice department sent the fbi in to gather up any incriminating evidence before some independent auditor came in for the bankruptcy court.

  One question I hope someone out there will answer for me has to do with the line up of the creditors.  I read somewhere, and I cannot find it today, that the government gave up its first position as a creditor recently, thereby allowing all other creditors, which would include the shareholders of the company, to recover proceeds from the liquidation of the company before we, as the government shareholder get a penny.

  If I remember the number from that article, the value of the company now is about $245 million.  That is not going to cover any of the $525 million, we loaned this company so the president could have a photo op.

  Also, I would like to know who are these other creditors/shareholders that will get their money first.  Are they the same ones that made large donations to obama and the damocrat party prior to getting the loan in the first place?

If there ever was...........
[info]rec040341
   If there ever was an oxymoron, the title of paul krugman's column in the new york times is one: "The Conscience of a Liberal".  Now isn't that something?  What does a liberal need with a conscience when they believe in relativism?  Since everything, morality included is relative, anything can be justified so there is no need for a conscience.

  What brought this to mind is the recent column written by the fool.  His contention is that President George Bush and Mayor Rudy Giuliani "cashed in" on the horror that was 9/11 and used it to justify a war they wanted to wage anyway.

  The column of both krugman and the ny times should be:  "The Lack of Conscience of a Liberal", with a follow on of, " and how it is destroying the United States."

For Those Who.....
[info]rec040341

For those who decry the war in Afghanistan and Iraq, contemplate this:

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks nothing worth a war, is worse. A man who has nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety is a miserable creature who has no chance at being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." --British philosopher John Stuart Miller

To justify your position, you will argue that the people there do not present a direct danger to us.  Tell that to the survivors of 9/11.
